how to tune

Click the arrows underneath Tuning Mode

Switching the tuning mode

Select an alternate tuning by clicking on one of the arrows under, 'Tuning Mode'. You will see the note names on the buttons change. If you press the buttons in any alternate tuning mode, the online guitar tuner will play the correct pitch for each note in that tuning. Note: some tunings require your guitar to be slightly adjusted to avoid Fret buzz. You can easily downtune your guitar online to drop tunings like drop d, drop b and drop c. There are also open tunings and other tunings as well.

How Accurate is the Online Guitar Tuner?

Exact. The notes that are played through the online guitar tuner have perfect pitch. They were generated digitally and were not recorded (which could cause slight intonation problems).

The Guitar2ner online guitar tuner is a flash-based online guitar tuner and helps guitar players tune to alternate guitar tunings by ear. This is extremely important since it teaches guitar players to identify pitch. Although some guitar players know how to tune to alternate tunings, it is hard to always know what the string notes should sound like. This tool helps solve that problem.
