Catholic Volunteer Network Honors Lewis University MinistryPublished: May 9, 2020.
The Catholic Volunteer Network honored Lewis University Ministry as one of their network’s Top Schools for Service in the Midwest. The Catholic Volunteer Network is the leading membership organization of Christian volunteer and mission programs. It supports and enhances the work of its members through volunteer recruitment, training and resources, networking opportunities, and advocacy.
Lewis University Ministry’s office is one of a special group of campus ministry and service-learning offices nationwide that have demonstrated excellence in supporting young adults and in advocating for post-graduate service programs.
In particular, Jake DeMarais, associate director/coordinator of Ministry Service, and Diana Lockett, Lasallian Volunteer Scholar and graduate assistant in ministry, have continued to offer an annual post-grad service fair each fall. The event has attracted over 20 different post-graduate service programs to Lewis University creating an opportunity for over 75 students each year to see what life in one of these programs looks like.
